Verified Guide Agreement

Verified Guide status is granted by VandraQuest at our discretion to members who publish genuine, well-made trips. You must be at least 18, hold a VandraQuest account in good standing, and keep your profile accurate. We may grant, decline, or remove Verified Guide status at any time.

When all of the following happen, you earn a share of the booking:

• a traveller copies ("clones") one of your public trips into their own account;
• within 90 days of that copy, they open a booking link on their copy of the trip;
• that click leads to a booking with one of our affiliate partners (for example Booking.com, Vrbo, Viator);
• the partner reports the booking to us and pays us a commission for it.

Your share is 10% of the commission VandraQuest actually receives for that booking. It is not a share of the booking price. Commissions vary by partner and are set by them, not by us.

You earn nothing on your own clicks, on copies you make of your own trips, on bookings made directly on a partner site without going through a link on a copied trip, or on clicks made while your Verified Guide status is not active.

Your Settings page shows three figures:

• Accrued — bookings a partner has reported but not yet paid us for. Partners typically pay 30 to 60 days after travel, and a booking can be cancelled or refunded in that time, in which case the accrued amount is removed.
• Payable — your share of bookings the partner has paid us for. This is what we owe you.
• Paid — payouts we have already sent you.

Partners report bookings to us overnight, so a new booking can take a day or more to appear, and status changes follow the partner’s own schedule.

• Minimum: we pay out once your payable balance reaches $25 (USD). Smaller balances carry forward.
• Timing: payouts are made monthly, in the first week of the month, for balances that were payable at the end of the previous month.
• Method: by PayPal to the email you enter in Settings. We may add other methods. You are responsible for the accuracy of your payout details.
• Reversals: if a partner reverses a commission after we have paid you for it, we deduct the amount from your next payout.
• Taxes: you are responsible for any taxes on what you earn. We may ask for a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) before paying you, and we report payments where the law requires it.

• Keep your public trips truthful and your own work. Do not copy itineraries from other sources and present them as yours.
• If you promote your VandraQuest trips on social media or elsewhere, disclose that you may earn a commission from bookings, as advertising rules in your country require.
• Do not generate clicks or bookings yourself, through friends, or by any automated means in order to earn a share. We may cancel earnings and remove Verified Guide status if we see this.
• Keep your account secure. Earnings go to the account that holds the trip.

We may change the share, the window, the minimum, the timing, or any other part of the Programme. If we do, we will ask you to accept the new version before further payouts; earnings already payable are paid on the terms in force when they became payable. Either of us can end your participation at any time. On ending, we pay any payable balance at the next monthly payout, regardless of the minimum, and no further earnings accrue.
